A video by Boko Haram insurgents titled “harvest of spies” was Monday release by the terrorists showing the execution of two alleged spies ISIS style.

The video which bore same pattern with released Islamic state execution videos was released via twitter by the insurgents.

It started by showing a man kneeling in the foreground with a group of Boko Haram fighters approaching him holding a flag used by militant Islamist group.

Then it showed two men, identified as Dawoud Muhammad and Muhammad Awlu, led by Boko Haram fighters before being made to kneel.

One Boko Haram fighter, whose face was blurred by the militant group, stood behind Dawoud Muhammad, holding a large knife.

Muhammad told the camera that he was a farmer from Baga, Borno State and was then made to answer a series of questions at knifepoint.

Muhammad revealed that he had been approached by a police officer who offered him money in exchange for infiltrating Boko Haram.

“We went to see a man from Mijka and a police officer that was with him. The officer gave me N5,000,” Muhammad said.

Muhammad was also made to confess that their mission had been to spy on the “residents who live here” (Boko Haram), and in exchange for spying, the police officer had promised him that he would “become rich and will never go back to be a farmer again.”

The video faded before the actual beheadings took place, and then showed the two men’s bodies with their heads placed upon their chests. (Elombah).
