Buhari must keep his Cards close to his Chest, says Mohamed Warsama

President-elect, Buhari should keep his cards close to his chest. It is frightening that he is holding them for all and sundry to see. Corruption isnt something he can eliminate overnight.

He has got to settle down and place his trusted men and women in key places to carry out his agenda. The corrupt cartel in an African country like Nigeria or Kenya runs through the top echelons of government and military.

They will fight tooth and nail against any attempt to weed them out. They will plot to kill Buhari or overthrow him. It is folly to alert them so early in the day before Buhari has even saddled his horse.

The Buharites have been talking too much for our comfort about their leader’s intentions. They should stop playing to the gallery and work quietly about assembling their team and crafting their strategy.

They should snap out of the election campaign mode and realise they have won, so there is no need for them to chest thump with promises of what buhari will do.

Remember the saying: “Man proposes, God disposes.”
