Vincent Enyeama has confirmed he is quitting international football with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Speaking from his base in France, Enyeama said he doesn’t want to disrupt the ongoing rebuilding process of Coach Sunday Oliseh.

The Lille shot stopper believes it is not professionally right for him to remain in current set up of the senior national team.

The 33-year-old’s decision came after Coach Sunday Oliseh replaced him as Captain with Ahmed Musa, only hours before the match in Verviers, Belgium.

Enyeama insisted that his decision was taken in the best interest of the country, while promising to consider a return to the team if it is the right decision to take.

On Tuesday, the Lille goalkeeper had a misunderstanding with Coach Oliseh and was asked to leave the camp of the team.(Channels TV)
