Nigerian billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola has bought a mansion in London in the sum of £53 million ($72 million), adding to a slew of deals the UK capital’s luxury housing market has seen in recent months.
Otedola bought the 10-bedroom house in the city’s St John’s Wood district — a short walk from Regent’s Park — late last year, according to a UK filing.
The mansion built in 2016, reportedly includes luxury 10 bedrooms, a private cinema, spa facilities, and a cigar room, appealing to the ultra- wealthy.
St John’s Wood district, where Otedola’s new mansion is located, is regarded as one of London’s most exclusive residential areas, known for its detached luxury homes, privacy and proximity to Regent’s Park and the Lord’s Cricket Ground.
In recent years, several Nigerian banking and business figures have been linked to high-value properties in the UK capital.
