News

Nigerian actor, Okiki Adeshina Janmole, has passed away. The news of his death was confirmed by Bolaji Amusan of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).

An Ibadan-based radio station, Success FM, also announced his passing in a Facebook post, describing him as a talented actor, filmmaker and comedian whose contribution to the industry would be greatly missed.

Okiki Adeshina passed away after a tragic car crash in Nigeria. Further details about the accident have not been shared yet. But a few years ago, Adeshina had another near death experience when a massive fire happened along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. At that time, Adeshina managed to have a narrow escape.

Condolences have been extended to his family, friends, the people of Okeho, and members of the Nigerian movie community.

Actress Regina Chukwu said in a facebook post: “Who would have thought that was going to be our last encounter? It’s a pity you had to go the way you did”.

While fellow actor Akin Olaiya said: “Inalilahi Wainalilahi Rojihuna. This is sad. Rest in peace, Adeshina Okiki Janmole.” And veteran Nigerian actor Sanusi Iziaq said “This was not the promise and plan. Everything just seems like a dream”.
