Defying restrictions on vehicle convoys, public gatherings ban, and imposed curfew, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan arrived at her Sallah rally by helicopter and addressed a large crowd of supporters.
From the podium, she delivered a bold declaration: “Nobody and nothing can stop me from coming home. I’m an Ebira woman; this is my land. I’m the daughter of the late Jimoh Abdul Akpoti. I know my roots; I’m not a bastard, and I’m not afraid of anybody.”
Her speech came despite warnings from the Kogi State Government and police, who had banned rallies and public gatherings over security concerns. However, Akpoti-Uduaghan insisted on her right to return home, standing firm in the face of opposition.
