In view of rumours upon rumours over the health condition of President Muhammadu Buhari, the Federal Government on Sunday released photographs of the president with his wife in United Kingdom while on vacation.
The photographs showing Buhari and his wife came after an earlier one released on Friday showing Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun and some persons with the President. Some people said that particular picture was taken last year.
The two new photographs were released by the Special Assistant to the President’s Wife on Media, Adebisi Olumide-Ajayi.
The President and his wife were standing in one while they were sitting down in the second photograph. Buhari wore a brown pair of trousers, a sweater and a white skull cap in the pictures.
The photographs were released amid increasing rumour over the state of health of the President since he announced his decision to embark on a short vacation during which he is also scheduled to carry out medical check-up.
Yes, the rumours only serve to affirm the weariness and weariness of many Nigerians; it also portrays the general height of paranoia people with little or no productive engagement display when there is a situational transition. Should we say that some people would wish the demise of Mr. President? Maybe, but it’s not going to happen – not now, not for a very time. Regardless of any human imperfection, it should be understood that we, as humans, have individual and collective destiny under God’s lead. As religiosity seems to be our pride in Nigeria, I’d have expected all faiths to rally prayer and well wishes for the president irrespective of religious or political differences, instead of speculations and antagonism over his ‘life or death’. Is this how propitious our faith and humanism serves us as a nation? ‘Uneasy lies the head…….’

Lord God help us all grow to trust and love our President Muhammadu Buhari who is the most patriotic of all that have ruled our country Nigeria to date. His government’s fight against corruption is realistic, relentless, and unprecedented. The monster (corruption) is furiously fighting back from all fronts, but he is unruffled and sane Nigerians are watching and those who wish Nigeria well are praying for him.
Nigerians are going through difficult times now, but difficult times have helped people of all nations to understand better than before, how infinitely rich and beautiful life is in every way, and that so many things that people worry about are of no importance whatsoever. We call on all lovers of our troubled nation to continually pray for our President Muhammadu Buhari. Members of APC in Diasporas and especially those of us in this part of the world are not relenting. No weapon(s) fashioned against our President shall prosper!
Our President Buhari has a focused vision and clear mission to fix Nigeria and he is gradually giving us hope and inspiration to remain steadfast in our struggle to rid Nigeria of corruption. The wicked from the pit of hell may not be happy with the positive and steady transformation of things in Nigeria but his kind of leader hardly comes by. They come to the leadership position once in a blue moon!
God loves Nigeria and He hears prayers. Our President will not only be healed, he will be made whole in order to fulfill his purpose for Nigeria and humanity!
We appeal to God to expeditiously cure and save our President IJN. Amen!
