Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that FIFA has rejected its petition against Democratic Republic of the Congo.

This was disclosed on Tuesday by the NFF General Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi.

Sanusi said the federation is not satisfied with the outcome and will begin the process of filing an appeal.

He said: “We have received the decision of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee on our petition, but we are not satisfied with the decision, which rejected our petition.

“I want to assure Nigerians that the NFF has immediately commenced the process of appealing the decision.
