Nigerian media personality (OAP), comedian and radio presenter, Roby Ekpo, has opened up about the breakdown of his marriage with his estranged wife, Mayowa Lambe, accusing her of infidelity, deception, and financial strain in a deeply emotional account.
Ekpo recounted that he first became aware of the final collapse of the marriage after discovering that his estranged wife had moved on with another relationship. He described the moment as deeply distressing, saying it marked the end of a long period of emotional strain.
“After 11 years in marriage, I woke up to videos and pictures of my wife on Instagram getting married to another man.”
He claimed his ex-wife said: “I don’t even care if he loves me or not because wetin love do for me beside stress me, he isn’t taking care of me as a man should. He isn’t satisfying me sexually, he isn’t spoiling me, he isn’t anything good, I am just very irritated by him. I have been coping with unsatisfying s*x for years.”
Ekpo further revealed that he had previously undergone medical tests due to concerns about infertility, believing at the time that he may have been responsible for the couple’s inability to conceive.
“I am 48 years old, I don’t have a kid, I started going for tests because I thought I was the problem, I thought I had fertility issues. I later found out that she was taking contraceptives.”
The marriage, which lasted over a decade, has now ended, with Ekpo reflecting on the emotional and personal impact of the separation, including his experience with fertility testing and the absence of children.
Last week, news of Mayowa Lambe’s wedding to a new man in the United States sparked a wave of reactions online.
The development came as a surprise to many, as Mayowa was previously known to be married to comedian and radio presenter Roby Ekpo.
Neither had publicly confirmed their separation or divorce before the news of the new marriage surfaced online.
