2 FIFA vice-presidents reportedly arrested for alleged corruption

222Two FIFA vice-presidents have been arrested during a series of pre-dawn raids, it has been reported.

Alfredo Hawit of Honduras and Juan Angel Napout of Paraguay are understood to be among those arrested in connection to investigations into corruption in international football. Some of the arrests took place at the Baur au Lac hotel in Zurich, where FIFA officials were arrested in May in raids that rocked the sport. As many as 12 people could have been arrested as part of the operation, the New York Times reported.
