23 Nigerians waiting to be executed in Saudi Arabia

Twenty three Nigerians would be executed at anytime in Saudi Arabia, for drug-related offences. They were convicted for contravening the narcotic and psychotropic substances that are punishable by death.

This is coming few weeks after the Saudi authorities executed Kudirat Afolabi for drug trafficking and Saheed Sobade, another Nigerian, reportedly nabbed with 1,183 grams of cocaine powder in Jeddah.

They were arrested between 2016 and 2017 at King Abdul-Aziz International Airport, Jeddah and Prince Muhammad bin Abdu- Aziz International Airport, Madinah having concealed the banned substances in their rectums, the Saudi document revealed.

Not to be ethnocentric on this issue, but isn’t it amazing how the Nigerian world was turned around ethnicity when 77 Nigerians (most of whom are Igbos) were arrested by the US FBI for swindling and money laundering? Almost every other ethnic group in Nigeria had something to say about the Igbos and their hunger and quest for money. I bet that all these people on death row in Saudi Arabia are all Igbos…and they were not chasing after money!!!
