Angélique Kidjo showcases African Ankara fabric as she won her 2nd Grammy

The Benin Republic Singer-songwriter and activist, Angélique Kidjo wore this beautiful African print to the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles yesterday February 8 where she won her 2nd Grammy for ‘World Music Album’ for her album, “Eve”. The 54-year-old music star dedicated the award to the women of Africa.

Her remark at the presentation:

“This album is dedicated to the women of Africa — to their beauty and resilience. Women of Africa — you rock. For me, music is a weapon of peace, and today more than ever, as artists we have a role to play in the stability of this world,” Kidjo stated as she joyfully accepted the award at a ceremony in Los Angeles, United States.
