A Lagos state high court has discharged and acquitted the Chairman of Bi-Courtney Limited, Dr. Wale Babalakin in the N4.7billion fraud charge brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The case was decided in his favour on Monday.
Dr. Babalakin alongside his aide, Alex Okoh, were arrested in 2012 by the EFCC over accusations that they laundered N4.7billion from the Delta state government coffers on behalf of James Ibori, the UK convicted ex-governor of Delta state.
