Benin Republic troops join Multinational Task Force to combat Boko Haram

Related imageForce Commander, Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Major General Lucky Irabor has urged newly inducted troops from the Benin Republic to be good ambassadors.

He made the plea while welcoming the Benin Contingent into MNJTF family at Farcha Camp, Ndjamena, on Wednesday.

Col. Mustapha Anka, Chief Military Public Information Officer, quoted General Irabor as reminding them of their task, which involves garrison duties for the MNJTF.

Irabor also advised the troops to be law abiding, disciplined and to remain professional.

He thanked the President of Benin Republic, government and people for their support and cooperation in the fight against Boko Haram insurgency within the Lake Chad Basin region.

Earlier, the Contingent Commander, Commandant Datri Bienvenue Nonti, introduced his officers and men to Gen. Irabor.

The contingent comprises 8 officers and 182 soldiers. (Daily Post)
