Former President Olusegun Obasanjo this morning finally dumped the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), with which he has been having a running battle.
Obasanjo’s exit was not without drama.
After submitting the card to his ward chairman, Obasanjo, a former Board of Trustees (BoT) Chairman of PDP, requested him to tear it.
Obasanjo is a strong supporter of the presidential candidacy of opposition strongman, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd) of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Although, some reports say Obasanjo said he is no more a politician but until then. So, it is not yet clear if he will formally join the APC.
