Buhari gives assent to ‘Not Too Young To Run’ bill, its now the law

Where are the youths? Its your time indeed. Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has eventually signed the ‘Not Too Young To Run’ bill into law.

Buhari signed the bill on Thursday afternoon inside the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The bill, which has been passed by the National Assembly since last year, seeks to reduce the age qualification for elective office seekers across the country.

Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Ahmad Bashir shared a video of the event via his Twitter handle.

Bashir wrote: “History is made, President @MBuhari has signed into law the #NotTooYoungToRun bill. Congratulations to all young men and women at @YIAGA and all the supporters of the movement.”
