Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has submitted the 2018 to 2020 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper to the House of Representatives.
The Speaker of the House Yakubu Dogara read the letter on the floor of the house on Tuesday.
President Buhari said the MTEF and fiscal strategy paper were prepared against the backdrop of adverse global economic uncertainty, as well as fiscal challenges.
He said government overall objective is the recovery in the domestic economy, and that planned spending is set at prudent and sustainable levels.
He prayed the house to consider and approve expeditiously in order to bring the twenty eighteen budget preparation process to timely closure. (Silverbirdtv)
