Image result for Mike OzekhomeIn a statement, human rights Lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome SAN, has described President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration as the most clueless, corrupt and directionless in the history of Nigeria.

His statement reads, “Expectations from PMB? That is a tall dream.
“Nigerians’ expectations, not mine, are that PMB should first form and put in place a serious government properly so called before we begin to talk of PMB giving Nigerians democracy dividends.

“This is the most clueless, most directionless, most irresponsible and most corrupt government in the history of Nigeria since the January 1, 1914 Lugardian amalgamation of Southern and Northern protectorates to form Nigeria.

“It is mostly a “one chance” cabalistic government of incredible opaqueness, unique privatization of corruption and a government that freely spreads poverty, disillusionment, melancholy, hopelessness, sadness, pains, blood, and pangs.

“For the first time in the sad history of Nigeria, Nigerians spent Xmas at petrol stations, queuing for fuel, while government officials are shamelessly diverting and selling available fuel to their cronies and highest bidders.

“This is a government that continuously “fights” corruption within itself with sweet smelling sasarobia perfume, whilst fighting so called corruption of opposition and critics of government with insecticides, pesticides and herbicides.

“This government protects its corrupt officials involved in mind bungling larceny of $25billion dollars contracts, warehousing of 50b from TSA and shamelessly requesting for $1billion to fight a Boko Haram that it claimed to have defeated since December, 2015.

“To discuss this government is to engage in sheer banality and Baba Sallah’s Alawada Kerikeri histrionics and buffoonery.

“I dey siddon look; I dey laugh.”

  1. This comment is directed to both Mr. Rasheed Akangbe and Mr. Pat Akinola.

I am not a civil rights lawyer and was not connected to the previous administration of President Jonathan (and I don’t know if this lawyer that you’re bashing was), I am an ordinary common Nigerian citizen, watching and witnessing what is going on since President Buhari took office. And everything that this man (lawyer) has said about the president and his administration is dead-spot on the money.

I will give 2 examples of recent events: the fuel scarcity and the appointment of 8 dead people into his administration.

Everyone in Nigeria knows that Christmas time is a heavy and huge traffic time; it’s not that the president didn’t realize this fact nor did his handlers abruptly discover this. Why wasn’t there a plan to tackle this little problem that now seems to cripple the entire country?

    2) The president and his administration have just announced about 209 member committees in his administration into various offices. Out of those, 8 people are dead individuals. I am sure that the president didn’t just wake up and come up with those names. Wasn’t there supposed to be a panel that would have vetted those names before the president would make the selection?

You see gentlemen, as an ordinary Nigerian, who looked forward to the president when he promised us change and all I see is commotion and incompetence, it really baffles me how you guys can stand there to defend an indefensible act.

All Nigerians want is a modicum of responsibility from this administration or any other for that matter.

In psychology, they say that “admission or acknowledgement of a problem is the first step of the solution…” Everytime that something had gone wrong in this administration and someone points it out, the first thing you guys do is to go to war against whomever points it out. You have never looked at the problem that is being pointed out. This is not the sign of a responsible and competent administration.

So my brothers – Rasheed and Pat, unless you have something concrete to counter the things that this brother and a host of others have pointed out about this administration, please stop.

  2. Ozekhome, tell you what? I agree with you with your senseless and no conscience remarks about Sai Baba. Had Sai Baba taken my advice on how to tackle corruption, people like you would have been where you belong.
I have suggested to Sai Baba how can you fight a system that intends to kill you. You do not fight corruption. YOU KILL CORRUPTION by taking no vanquished and sparing no FOE. There can be no cohesive direction when the very people that ran the country aground are walking all over the place and talking TRABASURA. Ozekhome, it’s not your fault. Nooo its not so thank your STAR!

  3. That’s outright hogwash! He stands no moral ground to criticise Buhari or anybody on corruption. While whatever he says about Buhari or any of the so-called leaders is undoubtedly within his human rights, he needs to know that rights are not absolute. Rights should come with responsibility. He should stop masquerading as human rights lawyer. He’s undoubtedly part of the problem of this generation. Especially with his questionable ‘legal fee’ ‘gift’ from Fayose. He’s definitely one of the reasons why the war against corruption is not being won. For the avoidance of doubt, let him go and read Professor Niyi Osundare’s poem about his ilk.
