Sequel to the retirement of Prophet Samuel Abiara, the Supreme Council of the Christ Apostolic Church has named Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji as the new General Evangelist.
The council comprises all principal officers, all Assistant General Superintendents and other senior officers.
Oladeji was, until his appointment, an evangelist at CAC Canaanland.
Prophet Abiara, who recently clocked 75, confirmed the development.
“I’m happy. I’m very happy and I thank God for His grace. In the rules of the church, when you clock 75, you retire, and that was what happened.
“I was even one of those who announced him as the new General Superintendent. So, I’m happy”, Abiara, head of Agbala Itura Worldwide, told Punch.
CAC Director of Publicity, Pastor Ademisoye Alawode, in his reaction said an official statement on the change will be issued soon.
