Buhari2Catholic Bishop of Awka diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor, has called on President Mohammadu Buhari to adopt the Ghana style of curbing corruption to be able to stamp out corruption in Nigeria saying that that system adopted by Ghana has hitherto led to the good place they occupy in the recent times among the African nation after so many years of being in the doldrum.

He made the statement yesterday during a press briefing at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Awka, Anambra, to mark the 55th Independence anniversary of the country.

While commending President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption initiative, Ezeokafor said:  “Though I may not quite recommend the type of killings that took place in Ghana before the desired charge came, I will urge the President to intensify more efforts in his anti-corruption crusade.

“Corruption is the bane of this country. If President Buhari achieves his goal in anti-corruption, this country is fixed for good.

“We all know about the ‘Ghana must go’ story, today we are the people going to Ghana to imbibe good excellence. So, we need such anti-corruption method that made Ghana great today.”

The Bishop urged Buhari to fix electricity in the country, saying that if the sector is restructured for better service the country’s economy would naturally soar up.”
