CBN says 32m Nigerians yet to do their BVN registration one month to deadline

Uncategorized
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has said that 32 million active bank accounts have yet to be enrolled on the Biometric Verification Number (BVN) by September. This was made known by CBN’s Director, Corporate Communications Muzau Ibrahim in a statement released yesterday September 25. The deadline for the exercise was extended to October 31 after many Nigerians failed to do their registration on June 30 which was the earlier deadline.
But no doubt, many of this number will be Nigerians in diaspora. The money must be huge before you can travel from Asia or the Americas to Nigeria to do BVN registration.
