Passengers on board an aircraft belonging to Dana Airline, were thrown into panic when the door of the aircraft fell off upon landing. One of the passengers, Ola Brown, who took to his twitter page to vent his frustration, said the experience was scary.
Flew Dana. Exit door was unstable throughout the flight. As we touched down it fell off. Scary stuff.
- Many Nigerians have blamed the situation on lack of maintenance and sheer negligence. Social media commmentator, Japhet Omojuwa wrote:
That Dana accident had nothing to do with anything other than negligence. A door like that doesn’t just fall, it cries, tweaks and begs for attention for weeks before it finally falls. Dana endangered lives “managing it” like some manage their car breaks till something happens.
Only reason Dana were bold enough to recklessly endanger the lives of their passengers is because they know that, rather than hold them accountable, the average Nigerian would rather just call it a miracle and give a testimony in church.
