Reports coming in say that Senator Dino Melaye was allegedly attacked by unknown gunmen in the Gwagwalada area of Abuja, Nigeria, Thursday morning.
Added to that is the information that the Senator has also allegedly been abducted.
Melaye’s alleged abduction was disclosed by Senator representing Bayelsa East in the National Assembly, Mr. Ben Murray-Bruce, via his Twitter page.
In a tweet, Bruce disclosed that Melaye’s brother, Moses, informed him of the lawmaker’s abduction.
He tweeted: “I have just been informed by Moses Melaye, @dino_melaye’s brother, that Dino has been abducted by unknown persons in a Toyota Sienna that blocked their car and overpowered them on their way to Kogi to answer to Dino’s court case. Lets be on the watch out. Will keep you updated.”
Melaye was reported to have been attacked by armed men in Gwagwalada area of Abuja.
Melaye’s abductors are nothing but political bigots who thought that intimidation and kidnapping of opposing views are sufficient enough to win votes and new converts. We know that we operate in a country where imbeciles hold unto the mantle of leaderships but I reckon that their hours of nemesis shall surely arrive sooner than their expectation.
