Governor El-Rufai accused of ordering arrest of media personality, Segun Onibiyo, over his Facebook post against President Buhari

Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has been accused of ordering the arrest of Segun Onibiyo, a media personality.

According to multiple persons online, Segun was arrested yesterday afternoon, November 23, over a Facebook post he shared criticising President Buhari.

According to the tweets online, policemen allegedly went to Onibiyo’s office in Kaduna state yesterday, arrested him and he is now in detention.

Governor El-Rufai is yet to react to this allegation. See the tweets below…

  1. 1) The arrest of any…Nigerian for criticizing the President or any other political figure is WRONG !! Woefully wrong. (2) Facebook is NOT the best medium for such criticism. USE A NATIONAL MEDIA AGENCY THAT CATERS FOR NIGERIA CONCERNS/INTERESTS !!!!!
