Former presidential candidate of Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, on Wednesday hosted Mr. Gautier Mignot, the European Union (EU) Ambassador to Nigeria at his Onitsha residence.

The ex-governor of Anambra State, who made this known on his X handle while sharing images from the meeting, said they had “useful conversations”.

He wrote: “Today, Wednesday, I had the honour and privilege of hosting the European Union Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Mr. Gautier Mignot at my residence in Onitsha. It was an enriching meeting as we shared some useful conversations.”

Obi resigned from the LP in December last year to join the ADC, whose membership includes many former APC leaders and members, as well as other opposition figures.

He enjoys a great following from Nigerian youths.

Obi is expected to clinch the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ticket with the former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso as his running mate.
