Nigeria’s former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Olugbenga Ashiru, is dead.
The report, carried by online news platform, Per Second News, has it that Ashiru died in South Africa on Saturday.
He has been in South Africa for treatment. He was 66.
A sibling of the deceased, Hon. Bimbo Ashiru, confirmed the death of the former minister to Per Second News.
The younger Ashiru, the Commissioner of Commerce in Ogun State, said: “Yes, we lost him.” according to Per Second News.
