Former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Dahiru Musdapher, is dead

Image result for Dahiru Musdapher photoFormer Chief Justice of Nigeria, Mr. Justice Dahiru Musdapher is dead. He died at a London hospital on Monday, January 22, after a protracted illness.

Musdapher was appointed Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria on August 27, 2011 and sworn-in by former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan two days after.

He earlier on served as Chief Judge of Kano State from 1979 to 1985.

Musdapher, a native of Babura town of Jigawa State, after that stint, served as a member of the Court of Appeal from 1985 until 2003 when he was appointed as Justice of Nigerian Supreme Court.

He retired as CJN on 16th July 2012.

The deceased is survived by a wife and three children.
