
Mark Orabiyi, popularly known as Talay Riley, Grammy-winning Nigerian-British singer, has been stabbed to death in the United Kingdom after an attack at a property in east London.
The 35-year-old was found with stab wounds in the garden of a property on Rayleigh Road, Silvertown, on Friday morning.
Metropolitan Police said officers responded to reports of a stabbing at about 9 a.m. and discovered Riley with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said formal identification is yet to take place, while specialist officers are supporting his family.
The family, in a tribute, described Riley as “a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend.
“He brought love, light, and joy to our family and to all who knew him.
“We will always cherish his kindness, beautiful spirit, and remarkable talent. His presence touched many lives, and his memory will remain in our hearts forever. May his soul rest in perfect peace.”
The incident also left a man in his 20s with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to hospital, where he remained receiving treatment as of Sunday evening.
Three suspects have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the incident.
