Guinness World Record holder takes daring walk on rope across Lagos bridge (Video, photos)

Estonian slackliner and Guinness World Record (GWR) holder, Jaan Roose, on Thursday, walked on a rope from Sterling Towers in the Marina area of Lagos to the Onome Rig.

Famous for taking on daring challenges, Roose has become a sensation in the world of extreme sports, gaining a substantial following on various social media platforms.

Roose was recruited for the project by Red Bull which is trying to get what it describes as the Perfect Lagos Selfie.

Explaining the vision behind the effort, Gboyega Akosile, chief press secretary of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu wrote on Instagram, “Red Bull is trying to get the Perfect Lagos Selfie with Jaan Roose from Sterling Towers, Marina Lagos, to the Onome Rig.

“Jaan Roose is an Estonian slack liner and Guinness World Record holder. Slack Lining is a sport that can be a balance training, recreation and a moving meditation.

“This project is to showcase the beauty of Lagos State and the Red Bull team is working together with Lagos State Government through the Lagos Safety Commission. Stay Tuned for the Perfect Lagos Selfie.”
