Nigerian Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, says international flights will resume in the country on August 29, 2020.

Sirika said this in a tweet on Monday.

The Minister tweeted, “Glad to announce the resumption of international flights from the August 29, 2020 beginning with Lagos and Abuja as we did with the domestic flight resumption.

“Protocols and procedures will be announced in due course. We thank you for your patience.”

International airports and the others were shut on March 27 to contain the spread of COVID-19 that has been ravaging the entire world since late last year.

Most international and local airports in nearly all the countries of the world decided to shut down early in the year so as to contain the spread of the dreaded virus from one region to the other.
