Nnamdi Kanu took advantage of my husband’s absence, says Aisha BuhariWife of Nigerian president, Aisha Buhari, says Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), gained grounds while her husband was receiving medical attention in London.

During the 103 days which Buhari spent treating an undisclosed ailment in the UK, Kanu addressed thousands of his supporters, vowing to ensure the realisation of Biafra.

Speaking at the presidential villa in Abuja on Monday, Buhari’s wife said the absence of the president created a setback.

“As a result of the president spending several months outside Nigeria, a 40-year-old man who was still living in his father’s house created a state out of a state and that is a major set back for the country and the health sector did not benefit,” she said.

  1. When nonentities rule a nation of learned people this is the kind of statement you hear. Does this woman not have an adviser to explain to her before she hit the podium that Nigeria long ago transitioned from military dictatorship to presidential democracy? She is obviously clueless about human right violations her husband has perpetuated. Time will tell after this regime when your so-called husband would be summond by the international courts and human rights group to account for the massacres he perpetuated. Have your ease now even while you can because the days of trouble await you Aisha!
