The first civilian governor of Lagos State, a.k.a baba kekere or action governor, Alhaji Lateef Jakande clocked 90 years on Tuesday. The Lagos State Government in conjunction with the Jakande family organised a birthday party reception to honour the elder statesman at the Haven Event Centre, Ikeja, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.
Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo; APC national leader and former Lagos governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; Lagos governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu all eulogized Chief Lateef Jakande at the event.
Former Governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba who celebrated his own 80th birthday recently was the chairman of the occasion while Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo supervised the cutting of the birthday cake.
