NLC begins protest against hardship in the country

Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has embarked on a protest against hardship in the country.

NLC and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) had on February 8, issued a 14-day nationwide strike notice to the Federal Government over the failure to implement the agreements reached on October 2, following the removal of fuel subsidy.

There were stories published on Monday that the TUC has decided not to join the NLC in the protests. So, it is not clear whether this protest is being embarked on by the two trade unions or by just the NLC.

Nigerians have now embarked on the protest. Members of the association(s) were spotted protesting at Computer village area of Ikeja, Lagos State on Tuesday.
