No fewer than 100 people were killed in a military plane crash in Algeria on Wednesday, the local media said.
According to Local news website, TSA, 105 people had died, quoting what it called provisional figures from the civil service.
A statement from the defense ministry confirming the crash gave no casualty toll.
There was no immediate information about the cause of the crash. The military statement added that Gen. Gaid Salah, head of the army, had gone to the site and ordered an investigation into the crash.
