Muiz Banire, 20 others become SAN

Muiz Banire: honoured as SANThe National Legal Adviser of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and one time commissioner in Lagos State, Dr. Muiz Banire is one of the twenty one successful lawyers who would be conferred with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) by  the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC).

The list of the new SAN’s consists of 18 practicing advocates, (including a female) and three from the academics.

The only female is the former Attorney General of Ogun State, Abimbola Ibironke Akeredolu.
Those from the academics are Prof. Maxwell Mickael Gidado, Dr. Tahir Mamman and Prof. Paul Oboarenegbe Idornigie.

Others include; the Director, Legal Services, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Ibrahim Kanje Bawa, son of former Anambra State Deputy Governor, Emeka Etiaba, and son of former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Wole Olanipekun (SAN), Dr. Oladapo Olumide Olanipekun.

Also on the list are Edward Kunav Ashiekaa, Benson Nwankwo, Aderibigbe Adedeji, Joseph Sunday Bamigboye, Patrick Ocheja Okola, Dr. Akinpelu Theophilus Onigbinde and Samuel Otseilu Zibri.

The list also include; Adeniyi Ayodele Adegbonmire and Emmanuel Chinwenwo Aguma, Olumuyiwa Akinboro, Gordi Uche, Uchechukwu Valentine Obi and Kehinde Kolawole Eleja.

The new SANs, would be sworn-in on Sept. 21, at a special session of the Supreme Court to mark the beginning of the new legal year.
