Northeast Zonal Coordinator of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mr Abdulsalam Badamasi, was confirmed dead on Friday after he slumped in his hotel room, according to a Daily Trust report.
The report quoted NEMA Information Officer, Sanni Datti, as saying that the agency would come up with a statement on the incident.
“Yes, He is dead, after he slumped at his room early hour on Friday and he was rushed to hospital but later gave up,” Sanni was quoted as saying.
The late Badamasi was the Zonal Coordinator in north-central Jos before his transfer to Maiduguri last month.
