Nigerian PhD student in Malaysia slumps and dies

A Nigerian doctorate student at the International Islamic University, Malaysia (IIUM), Adedeji Abiodun Liadi, has died. According to reports, he slumped while jogging on the campus field. He was rushed to the school’s medical facility where he was pronounced dead.
Popularly known as ‘Olubadan’, the deceased hailed from Ibadan, Oyo State. He was 44 years old.

He was a lecturer at the Department of Economics, National Open University Nigeria (NOUN), Lagos. He was buried according to Islamic rites at the Muslim burial ground in Malaysia, with hundreds of people in attendance. (LIB)
