ooni-oba-adeyeye-enitan-ogunwusiPress statement:

The Ooni of Ife and Arole Oodua, His imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, will kick off his thank you visit with a courtesy visit to His Excellency the Governor of the State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola tomorrow at the Governor’s office, osogbo.

The visit will provide a room for the Kabiyesi to express his profound appreciation for his support to Ile-Ife right from the transition of Ooni Okunade Sijuwade Olubuse II to the subsequent installation of Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II capped with a befitting ceremony of presentation of staff and instrument of office organized by the state government of Osun under the leadership of Governor Aregbesola.

Expected to be on his entourage are the sixteen members of Ife traditional council known as AGBA IFE led by Lowa of Ife HRH Oba J.O Ijadola, the Isoro chiefs (chief priest) led by Obadio of Ife, Oba Ifarotimi Faloba, the executive members of Ife Development Board led by its President, Professor Muib Opeloye, executive members of Ife Action council led by its President Mr. Oriire Awowoyin, Great Ife Movement led by its President, Barrister Femi Oyeyinka. and others too numerous to mention.

The visit would enable the monarch to unravel for the umpteenth time his resolve to give succour to the children of Oduduwa worldwide as well as his populist plans for the society at large.

Governor Rauf Aregbesola is a very unbiased, God fearing and fantastic respecter of wishes of the people. Even though it is very rare in this part of the world for a state government not to influence a kingship process to favour a particular preferred candidate, but to the surprise of everyone Ogbeni Aregbesola refused to interfere with the process, accepted the choice of the kingmakers with an official announcement of the Ooni-elect and heavily supported the coronation activities materially and financially.

Signed,

Comrade Moses Olafare,

Director of communications and public affairs.

Ooni’s palace.

Ile-Ife
