PDP governors meet in Abuja over Supreme Court judgement

Image result for makarfi sheriff photoPeoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors are right now meeting in Abuja, according to a breaking news by the online edition of Nigerian Tribune.

“The meeting which is taking place at Ekiti Lodge, Asokoro is being hosted by Chairman of the forum and Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose,” the report said.

It named early attendees to include Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom), Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa), Ibrahim Dankwambo (Gombe), Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta) and Ebitemi Banigo (Deputy Governor, Rivers).

“Also present are Minority Leader, House of Representatives, Leo Ogor; former Abia State governor, Senator Theophilus Orji; former ministers, Prof Jerry Gana, Zainab Maina and Inna Ciroma,” the report said.

“Even though it was not immediately clear what the agenda of the meeting is, it is expected to deliberate on the ongoing leadership crisis and the impending Supreme Court judgement on the case between the Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led National Caretaker Committee (NCC) and the National Working Committee (NWC) led by Senator Ali Sheriff,” the report added.
