Rumors have it that the likely successor to the out-going Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman may have been nominated.
The name that is being mentioned as the in-coming INEC chairman is Prof Nazim Olufemi Mimiko. He is a professor of Political Science and International Relations and a former VC of Adekunle Ajasin University, Ondo State.
It is also not known yet whether Professor Mimiko, who unconfirmed report said to be a member of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) would resume work as INEC Chairman from March 1, 2015 or wait till Prof Jega’s terminal date in office.
