Channels Television reports that this morning, members of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) gathered at the Unity Fountain in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), “to commence the march against what they call the effect of poor governance.”
“As days go by, they are expected to march on the streets of Abuja,” the report said.
It stated that, in the country’s economic capital, Lagos, NLC members converged at the union’s Secretariat in Yaba “to commence their protest against what they call hardship being faced by Nigerians in the country.”
“The members of the NLC will be marching through the streets of Lagos to make their demands known to the government,” Channels Television further said.
The protest by NLC is coming barely three days after the #IStandforNigeria rallies held in Lagos and Abuja on Monday to protest the increasing hardship in the country.
