To be or not to be? Is another sensational Nollywood divorce on the way? That’s the question on every one’s lips. Following the drama on social media earlier in the week between actress, Toyin Aimakhu and her hubby, Niyi, which climaxed with Niyi publicly apologising on social media after Toyin deleted all his pictures and his name from her instgram profile.
In a rare show of courage, Niyi had taken responsibility for the crisis rocking the marriage. Rather than grand standing and pretending all was well, he had courageously posted the following message on social media: “To clear the air on the recent happenings, I Adeniyi Johnson is at fault and not my wife. She reacted according to her pains and we all have different ways of reacting. I beg everyone to please, stop throwing banters and insults. You can channel all the anger and grievances towards me and not her. Instead of abuse, I would rather beg you to join me in apologizing to Olutoyin. I’m deeply sorry please. It would be recalled that before now, Toyin had always referred to Olu Jacobs and Joke Silva, Nollywood’s numero uno couple as her role models for the obvious fact that the pair have remained glued to each other in happy matrimony for 30 years.
