Nigerian manA Nigerian man, Benson Uchenna Nwughala, 31, was crushed to death by a fast-moving train at a train station in San Romano, Montopoli on September, 4, 2017.

According to Italian newspaper, Gonews, instead of using the underpass, Nwughala crossed the tracks with headphones in his ear and did not notice an oncoming train which was in transit at a very high speed because it wasn’t meant to stop at the station.

Apparently, the people there tried to warn him, but the graduate of Banking and Finance from the University of Benin, Edo State, couldn’t hear them.

  1. While his death is saddening and worthy of regretting, it must be pointed out that Nigerians’ penchant for disorder or indiscipline was the cause of his death. According the story, there is an overpass through which he could have walked, but in typical Nigerians’ disregard for orderliness, he trespassed through the tracks. Those alive should learn from this mishap that could have been avoided. May he rest in peace.

  2. May the gentleman’s soul rest in peace. A lesson for others, though: don’t just preach caution, practice it. Security should be everyone’s concern. It is no joke! But concerns for security as primary, basic have waned lately. This is worrying. Indulgences, especially among the youth, have become alarming these days. Indulgences have been responsible for quite a staggering number of deaths, needless, inexcusable deaths! It is very sad.
