Nigerian social media personality and influencer, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has lambasted Femi Falana SAN and the other Nigerian lawyers who faulted his invitation to speak at the 2026 Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) annual conference.
Femi Falana SAN, had criticised the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) for inviting VeryDarkMan (VDM), to its 2026 Annual General Conference in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Falana, in an interview on Channels TV had said professional conferences organised by the NBA should provide intellectual engagement by bringing together individuals with established expertise and practical experience in the subjects under discussion, rather than personalities invited primarily for entertainment.
Responding in a video to Falana and the other lawyers who faulted his invitation, VDM said:
“I was so disappointed after seeing Femi Falana SAN’s submission regarding my invitation to the 2026 NBA Conference. I’m not disappointed because he didn’t support me; I’m disappointed because of the pointless reason he gave for why I was invited. Their problem is that the son of nobody was invited.”
