 Federal government breaks ground on new 3000 capacity prison in Kano State

Nigerian government has commenced construction of a new 3,000 capacity prison in Kano state. This was announced by the Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazzau via his Twitter handle.

It will be recalled that sometime ago, Nigerian vice president, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo criticised the state of Nigerian prisons, saying they turn humans into animals.
