Sense, None sense, Commonsense; By Jim Chukwuemeka

For the records, I am not against the personality of Mr. President, I am not by any means opposed to his emergence as president of the federal republic of Nigeria.

This re- affirmation becomes pertinent owing to the influx of threats to my inbox with reckless abandon. I cannot be intimidated into mediocrity or silenced to submission by forces of evil in high places.

What would have become triumphant victories for the people have turned into a magnanimous defeat of their expectations? What an irony indeed.

First thing first, we all have to at least acknowledge the fact that the APC led administration has failed woefully at its campaign promises irrespective of our party affiliations and ethnic roots. This is sense. They have displayed a total and absolute unpreparedness to lead, no clear cut vision, just like a ship at sea without a definite port to duck, forever doomed to wonder the length and breath of sea.

The past PDP administration was not much better either, as a matter of fact Mr. Jonathan was quoted as being an ineffectual buffoon but it certainly wasn’t this hopeless. By the way where have all these hyped up noise about anti corruption crusade gotten us? All we have witnessed is witch hunting against the opposition . Propagandized activity cannot hold sway for too long. We are in the middle of a terrible nightmare and I hope for all our sake that we wake up from it.

What’s more, just few months ago, Mr. President was bragging about Buharinomics before world leaders, how he can never devalue the naira even when he knew it was economic suicide not to. But after scaring away foreign investors and throwing the national economy into chaos, he suddenly decides to float the naira ? Is this not pure nonsense?

After a year in office , Nigerians are supposed to have started experiencing at least a little impact of change but nothing have changed, things have gotten a lot worse. The average man on the street is struggling to afford three square meals a day. Companies are laying off workers in droves. There is panic in the land. Electricity output have plummeted to zero severally.

The belief that the situation will get a lot worse before it gets better is the very first degree if madness, absolute nonsense. For instance, if a ship is sinking, and the crews are trying to salvage it, should they like APC first let the ship to sink to the ocean floor by which time the passengers are long dead before attempting To redeem it ?

That said , it appears our memories are collectively random accessed in this country ? How could we have forgotten so easily that Mr. Femi Fani Kayode is still languishing in detention without trial? Or perhaps we chose not to talk about it? We should all bury our faces in shame . Mr. kayode is one of the few men that stood up for the masses to lend his voice against the excesses of this inconclusive government.

I still anchor the fact that no crime is beyond the judiciary the enormity notwithstanding. Therefore the likes of Sheik El-Zackary, Dasuki, Nnamdi Kanu, etc must be given a free and fair trial.
If they are all guilty as charged, then why is the presidency trying to scuttle their trials by propagandized activity? Masquerading witnesses and playing God? Wake up my country men irrespective off your party affiliation or ethnic status. They have used ethnic card to deceive us long enough, enough is enough. This is a moment for sober reflection, a time to ask questions.

All the major opposition voices are all either being silenced or in DSS cell. Mr. Kayode is languishing in detention without charge yet, Senator Ben Bruce just had his three assets confiscated, and Fayose just had his zenith bank accounts frozen. All major opposition voices?

Nigeria belongs to all of us despite the irrational master servant inequalities deliberately created and nurtured by the ruling elite quoting Douglas Anele verbatim.

President Buhari and APC leaders are wasting time if they think that any sustainable development can be achieved without devolution of powers to the six geopolitical zones in the country. In this regard, the President displayed an appalling lack of imagination and historical vision by disregarding completely the report of the 2014 National conference organized by his predecessor. Commonsense dictates that he should at least consider the billion of naira spent on the conference and try to see how its recommendation can be applied to solve some of the challenges facing us as a people.

The way forward? RESOURCE CONTROL.
Empower each of the six geopolitical zones to exploit /manage the natural resources domiciled in their respective zones and pursue their developmental agenda without the overbearing influence of an OPPRESSIVE and MEDDLESOME federal government. You cannot come to my backyard, rob me of my right, mess up my land and expect me to be smiling.

My name is Jim Chukwuemeka,
