Veteran Nigerian actor, Patrick Okoye, popularly known as Energy, has reportedly passed away.
The passing of Okoye, also a lecturer at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), was announced around 11:00 am on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
According to reports, the actor passed away in the early hours of Thursday, May 28, 2026. A post, made on his official Instagram page also confirmed the reports.
“Rest in peace legend,” the post read.
Patrick Okoye was also said to be a lecturer at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, was mourned and celebrated by fans, colleagues, and well-wishers who flooded social media with condolence messages, expressing shock and sadness over the loss of the veteran actor.
