Reports reaching us now indicates that a lecturer at Ekiti State University, Dr. Mrs Alade and two other women were few minutes ago, kidnapped along Igbole-Ifaki road. The kidnapped women were on their way to a wedding ceremony with the husband of Dr. Mrs Alade, Bayo Alade in a Toyota RAF 4 vehicle when the incident happened. Mr. Bayo Alade was dropped from the vehicle while the three women were abducted and driven away in the vehicle.
As at the time of writing this report, the whereabouts of the women remain unknown while contact has not been established with the captors. This brings to about 9 persons that had been kidnapped in Ekiti State in the last one month.

A Lecturer at the Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Dr Mrs Alade, and two other women have reportedly been kidnapped along Igbole road this afternoon. According to reports, her husband was dropped few kilometers from the spot they were abducted in their Toyota Rav 4 mini-jeep. They were reportedly going to a social function when they were seized.
That brings to about six cases of kidnapping in the last few days in the state.
