Jonathan signs Criminal Justice Administration Bill 2015, into law

President Goodluck JonathanPresident Goodluck Jonathan has signed the Administration of Criminal Justice Bill 2015 into law.

The bill, which was passed by the Senate on May 5, seeks to among other things, address the problem of delayed criminal trials.

Reuben Abati, President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, confirmed this development in an interview with Journalists in Abuja on Thursday.

He said the president signed the document on Wednesday, the same day he received the bill from the National Assembly.

“The president has signed the Administration of Criminal Justice Bill 2015.

“He signed it the same day he received it from the National Assembly. With that development, the bill is now an Act,” he said. (NAN).
