Controversial Senator representing Kogi West, Senator Dino Melaye, has frowned at the policy summersault of the present administration, emphasising on the heavy expenses of President Muhammadu Buhari’s traveling and medical tourism, in the last one year.
Melaye who took to his Twitter Page on Friday, said: “To spend N64 billion in one year on traveling and N9 billion on roads is the most absurd thing to do. We must change this destructive ways.”
According to Melaye, “Last year alone, we spent N250 billion on medical tourism. This is a demonstration of failure. We need a declaration of an emergency in our nation.”
Speaking further, he maintained that “the policy inconsistency of our economic managers is worrisome and disturbing. So we must, as a government and leaders, think outside the box.”
While saying Nigerian leaders should be ashamed of themselves, He tasked them to be sincere and truthful to the citizens. He said: “We as leaders of this country must all be ashamed of ourselves and be more sincere to ourselves and Nigerians. Our economy is dying.”
